Abstract
In this presentation, we introduce The Cognity, an innovative AI-powered platform designed to support individuals on the autism spectrum in the development of social and communication skills. Combining the latest advancements in artificial intelligence with evidence-based therapeutic practices, The Cognity offers interactive modules that simulate real-life social scenarios, provide personalized feedback, and track progress over time. We will explore how AI can enhance traditional social skills training by offering consistent, scalable, and engaging experiences that adapt to the user’s developmental level.

Solution Architect by day, CEO by night. Please meet Katsiaryna Stankevich – CEO!
Kate earned her BSc in Computer Science at the Warsaw University of Technology. She then continued her journey at the Imperial College Business School, where she received her MSc in Management with a Finance specialisation.
Kate is the CEO of the start-up The Cognity. The Cognity – AI platform for learning social skills, created for individuals on the autism spectrum and their therapists. It provides feedback on words, facial expressions, empathy and voice, developed with experts from the US, Poland, and Switzerland.
In her career, she worked in multinational consulting firms, as well as start-ups, where she developed her skills in machine learning, data engineering, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Kate is always up for a challenge, and in her spare time, she manages to publish papers in IEEE on modelling and optimizing city traffic. Additionally, Kate holds multiple certifications such as Professional Data Engineer GCP, Professional Cloud Engineer and so on.
She is continuously involved in the planning of various educational events, hackathons, and seminars. The Hackathon4Ukraine, First Steps to the Cloud, and the Data Science Realm – Meetup are only a few examples. There is more! Furthermore, she is a presenter at many international and technological conferences, such as WebSummit 2023 in Portugal, ‘Emerging Challenges & Opportunities of Advanced Technologies and High Performance’ at ICIMMI-2020, and ‘Python for Data Science’ at the PoweR Bootcamp R and Python.
